Buddy she was very nervous in the first set. In the second she was OK.

Yeah she has potential to grow to the top league.

See the chinese and Russians they hav loads of talent waiting to explode. Its not the same with India.

Did not see the game ... don't have coverage here in Italy ... but if she did look anything like being a decent tennis player capable of making it good in the circuit then I'm happy. I've waited and waited and almost given up ...

U mention the Russians, they have 5 players in the top 10 from nowhere ... did not even see it coming and a bunch of teenagers who definitely have shown a lot of potential to advance. Chinese, not bad considering that tennis must be as popular there as how it is in India ...

And for us, first we had Nirupama Vaidyanathan who made it to the second round of wimbledon and that's it ... We had Sai Jayalakshmi, Rushmi Chakravarthy who've advanced in tournaments played in Kazakhstan ... and now Sania. Asking her to overpower Serena "100mph" Williams in her first slam was asking for too much but just hope she does go on to do much better in the future !!! ...

I agree about the Russians and Chinese. But maybe this is the start for the Indians... I never said Sania will be the next Steffi Graf... she will make it to the top 50 easily...

Yeah she was nervous. Court 2, Australian open, the first grand slam she plays, against Serena Williams... I think she did a decent job...If Serena had a bad serving day, then the match would have a little closer in terms of scoreboard as well...
